About

Ecolinc’s ‘S.T.E.A.M Ahead’ program is part of the Victorian Challenge and Enrichment Series, an initiative of the Department of Education and Training (DET), that provides enrichment opportunities to extend high-ability students in Victorian government schools so they are better supported to excel and reach their full potential.  Participating students are able to explore environmental themes and issues in film, hear from leading experts and participate in a range of workshops as part of this series.  Want to learn more ….

A Plastic Ocean

Plastic pollution in our oceans is one of the biggest environmental challenges our world faces. Approximately 8 million tons of plastic end up in our oceans every year. Thousands of seabirds and sea turtles, seals and other marine mammals are killed each year after ingesting plastic or getting entangled in it. In this program, students will learn how media is used to bring people on board with environmental issues.
